Sheffield United vs West Brom

Score Prediction: 0-2
Sheffield United, whilst they sit bottom of the table, have shown their qualities in defence. They have had eight 1-0 losses this season, but it also shows their lack of goals. West Brom have had their defensive problems but with star man Matheus Pereira staring in the attack, they won’t go down without a fight.

FPL Tips: West Brom’s new loanee Mbaye Diange (£6.0m) is about to join the budget forward list. In his first 45 minutes he assisted Matheus Pereira’s goal, and on the eye test looks like a complete striker.

Wolves vs Arsenal

Score Prediction: 1-2
Wolves have struggled to find form this season, and with their star man Raul Jimenez out, I can understand why. The formation change hasn’t helped, but it was good to see Willian Jose looking a threat in his first game. Arsenal have found a new lease of life, with the young guns Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe catching my eye. This should be the game to watch.

FPL Tips: Willian Jose (£7.0m), on loan from Real Sociedad, looks the complete package. He could have scored 2 or 3 against Palace. He has a true strikers instinct, looked an areal threat, and is also a team player. Watch this space.

Man United vs Southampton

Score Prediction: 2-0
The kings of the away day have struggled as of late. A shock 2-1 defeat at Sheffield United and a 0-0 draw at the Gunners suggest that a spanner has been thrown into the works. Nevertheless their form is expected to pick up, and with Southampton’s goals seemingly drying up, this could be the place to start. Southampton have a point to prove, and after going close to winning the reverse at St Mary’s, this one’s for the taking.

FPL Tips: If you want to take a punt, Paul Pogba (£7.7m) is a worthy choice. He looks revived playing down the right, and with two decent returns in the last 5, he could spring a suprise with his 3% ownership.

Newcastle vs Crystal Palace

Score Prediction: 1-1
The boring, boring Newcastle side we’d been complaining about showed us what they could do with a 2-0 win at Everton, and whilst the result was a big one, for most of the season they have been heavily reliant on Callum Wilson. Palace, fresh of a 1-0 win at Wolves, will look to pick up more points and with a decent squad depth, should look to rest players.

FPL Tips: I’m still waiting to see Jean Philippe Mateta (£6.0m) play for Palace, but watching his games for Mainz, he looks another great budget option. He looks as good as Zaha and, with 10 goals in 17 Bundesliga games this term, knows where the back of the net is as well.

Burnley vs Man City

Score Prediction: 0-2
Burnley’s defence, the bedrock of their team, haven’t dissapointed so far this season. After a slow start, they are finally grinding out results. City looked a little tame against Sheffield, but that is to be expected in the absence of resident playmaker Kevin De Bruyne. This game is a must win for City, with Liverpool and Spurs their next two.

FPL Tips: Pep roulette caught most of us out this week, but I’m predicting Joao Cancelo (£5.9m) to start and to star. A massive haul against West Brom showed his true abilities and if you have him, you will start to reap the rewards.

Fulham vs Leicester

Score Prediction: 1-2
Fulham look nothing like the relegation bound side of 18/19, but work is to be done to convert these draws into wins. Even with Ademola Lookman, Ivan Cavaleiro and Bobby Decordova-Reid firing, the defence is still leaky. Leicester are the form team coming into this but even though they are favourites, take it with a pinch of salt, as the reverse fixture doesn’t bode well for the Foxes chances of victory.

FPL Tips: I have become a big fan of Harvey Barnes (£6.9m). This young winger has returned in each of his last 3 games and is proving to be a worthwile asset if you have the funds. In the absence of Jamie Vardy, he surely has shone.

Leeds vs Everton

Score Prediction: 1-3
Leeds United are looking the best team to watch all season. The results that Bielsa gets out of these players is incredible. Unfortunately, running around a pitch like a Marathon Runner on steroids hasn’t got them as many wins as they would have liked, and their defence can leak more than expected. Everton have looked good as well but they have a lot to prove after losing at Newcastle.

FPL Tips: Lucas Digne (£6.1m) has managed the same amount of assists as Andy Robertson and Aaron Cresswell at left hack this season, the joint most, having missed 8 games this season through suspension and injury. Armed with only a 6.8% ownership, the stats are there to see.

Aston Villa vs West Ham

Score Prediction: 1-1
Aston Villa and West Ham have suprised us all. The Hammers in European contention, Villa only a few points behind with more fixtures in hand than fingers on my hand. Jack Grealish is a player of the season contender, Cresswell just keeps on providing and the clean sheets are always coming. Michael Antonio, after popping up here and there before finding himself injured, has finally had consistent game time and looks like the best striker in the league bar Harry Kane.

FPL Tips: We all look to Aaron Cresswell, but Vladimir Coufal (£4.7m) is an unsung hero of this West Ham side. He is generally key to them winning and if Cresswell doesn’t get an assist, Coufal will.

Liverpool vs Brighton

Score Prediction: 3-0
Liverpool have looked their deadly best, proving that they’re not out this title race yet. With the front three combining for the goals, we rarely mention the back line, which besides Robertson, hasn’t looked like it has in recent years. Brighton, in the midst of a relegation crisis, might need to just control the damage in this game, sit back and hold possession, before unleashing Maupay, March and Trossard.

FPL Tips: Sadio Mane (£11.9m) has looked better than Salah in recent weeks. He’s racking up the points, whilst Salah hasn’t looked himself besides the offside goal he scored at Spurs. Hop on, before it’s too late.

Spurs vs Chelsea

Score Prediction: 0-0
Spurs haven’t looked their best going into this one. Their defensive style has been breached many times, and we are all starting to think that they won’t contest for the title. Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea are similar to Pep’s City, rotation and posession, so whatever the last lineup was, expect changes. Don’t expect a cracker and, if any goals come, you know where from.

FPL Tips: Tammy Abraham (£7.2m) has been as deadly as ever, but his game time has been limited to accommodate Timo Werner. Personally, Abraham has been better than Timo, and when he’s one on one, he tends to find the back of the net.
